Maeve

In Need Of A Home

Meet Maeve

Maeve is a two-and-a-half-year-old female Dobermann, but in many ways, Maeve is still very much a puppy.

We know very little about her early life, other than the fact that she has spent most of it living outside.

Maeve came into our care having been living in a garden in a kennel. The previous owners made the decision to rehome her as they felt her boisterous and energetic nature was proving difficult to manage alongside their family life.

She is kind, affectionate and loves to be loved.

We felt she deserved the chance to experience life as part of a family and to discover all that a loving home has to offer.

Maeve is a small female Dobermann with a beautiful nature. She is kind, affectionate and loves to be loved. She adores people and is extremely friendly towards everyone, including strangers.

Maeve has been at the rescue 3 weeks and has already started to learn. She now knows sit, stay and lie down, and she is continuing to make progress every day.

Because Maeve has had very little socialisation during her short life, she understandably finds other dogs difficult. When she sees another dog, she can bark and lunge.

Being a small Dobermann, she is manageable on the lead for an experienced Dobermann owner who understands the importance of continued training and confidence-building.

She really is a beautiful girl who wants nothing more than to give and receive affection.

Maeve is not yet house-trained, she gives us hope that with the right routine and guidance, this will come.

She really is a beautiful girl who wants nothing more than to give and receive affection. She simply hasn’t been given the opportunity to learn about the world, experience life as a family dog, or grow and develop through her adolescent years.

Maeve has been around older children aged 8+, but at this stage in her life, we feel she would be best suited to a home with:
  • No children.
  • No other dogs
  • No cats
  • No outside kennelling
  • An experienced Dobermann owner.
We are looking for someone committed to ongoing training, patience and helping Maeve learn about life Maeve is still learning, and she will need someone who understands that she isn’t a finished product.

She needs time, consistency, boundaries and, most importantly, someone who will give her the opportunity to become the wonderful adult dog we believe she can be.
